Josh Hamill began his career in 2010 as a firefighter with the City of Red Bank Fire Department in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was quickly promoted to Captain and Principal Fire Investigator where he ran day-to-day operations of the fire department such as scheduling, personnel issues, responding to calls, and conducting fire origin and cause investigations.
In 2013 and in addition to his work with the City of Red Bank Fire Department, Josh also worked part-time as an Investigation Technician. In this capacity, Josh was responsible for examining fire scenes, collecting and analyzing evidence, taking photos of the fire scene, and assisted in the interpretation of fire patterns.
Josh’s achievements speak volumes about his dedication and commitment to his work. He has won the ‘Firefighter of the Year Award’ twice and has been awarded the ‘Life Saving Award’ for rescuing a woman from an apartment fire. He has also received the ‘State of Tennessee Life Saving Award’ for his bravery involving a motorcycle accident. Josh joined the team at Jack Ward Fire Consultants in 2024 where he works as a Fire Consultant conducting Fire and Explosion Investigations across the State of Florida. Josh is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI).
