Wes Broderick began his successful fire service career in 2000 as a firefighter in the Kentucky Air National Guard based in Louisville, KY. He is a veteran of the Iraq War, with additional deployments throughout the world. In 2007, Wes moved to Georgetown, Kentucky and worked as a structural firefighter and Fire Investigator. In 2016, Wes was promoted to Fire Captain, and then to Fire Marshal in 2022. In 2024, Wes joined the Jack Ward Fire Consultants team as a CFI/Fire Consultant based in Lexington, Kentucky.

Wes is a graduate of the Community College of the Air Force, holding an associate’s degree in Fire Science. He is also a three-time graduate of Eastern Kentucky University holding bachelor’s Degrees in both Fire Administration and Fire, Arson, and Explosion Investigation. He also holds a master’s degree from EKU in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management with an emphasis on Fire and Emergency Services.

Wes is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) and Evidence Collection Technician (ECT) through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) through the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), and Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator Instructor through the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).

Wes is a member of multiple professional groups, including the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), The National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), and the Kentucky Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.
