In 1984, Anthony Ferrone began a 38-year public safety career as a volunteer firefighter at the Lindenhurst Fire Department in Lindenhurst, New York. He progressed in this role until 1987, when Anthony became a police officer with the New York City Police Department. Here he served in many progressively responsible positions, including foot patrolman, burglary unit, and the anti-crime unit as an undercover officer, until his promotion to the rank of Detective in 2000. Once in the Detective Bureau he worked in the Warrants Squad.  Anthony consistently led his units in arrests and productivity until his retirement in 2006.  After his retirement, he moved to upstate New York where he started and owned a restaurant as well as used his degree in Electrical Engineering and experience as an electrician to perform electrical work in his community. He quickly joined the Van Etten Volunteer Fire Department to continue his passion as a firefighter and was eventually promoted to the rank of Executive Chief in 2008. In 2011 Anthony was a driving force in the creation of a new Fire Company, Community Fire and Rescue Inc, where he remained as the executive Chief until he moved to Ohio in 2020. In 2014, prior to moving, Anthony became a fire investigator for Chemung County as a member of the Chemung County Fire Investigation Team.  There his duties included analyzing fire debris and burn patterns, determining fire origin and cause, conducting fraud analysis, as well as the preservation and collection of evidence.  In 2018, he attended The New York State Fire Academy and received his certification to teach.  He was then hired by The State of New York to teach fire related courses in Tioga County.  Anthony joined the team at Jack Ward Fire Consultants in 2022 where he works as a fire consultant conducting fire and explosion investigations across the United States and abroad.  Anthony is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) through the International Association of Arson Investigators, a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) through the National Association of Fire Investigators and has testified multiple times in state courts related to cases worked in both his police department and fire service careers.
