naspWe are excited to announce that Jack Ward will be speaking at the Florida Chapter Meeting for the National Association of Subrogation Professionals on July 29, 2013.

This course is designed to give insurance professionals including adjusters, examiners, and claims managers an insight into the anatomy of a quality fire investigation and the attributes of a quality fire investigator when vetting origin and cause vendors. It will also prove useful for those involved in subrogation, such as attorneys and SIU personnel, who must understand the inner workings of a fire origin and cause investigation as it progresses from the call for service through the final report and into the courtroom. Entry level fire investigators will benefit from the material presented as it outlines the good practices and procedures that lay the very foundation of a solid origin and cause investigation. The attendee will leave with an understanding of the challenges and pitfalls that can be avoided as the case proceeds through deposition and culminates with expert testimony in criminal or civil proceedings at the State and Federal level. The basics of NFPA 921, NFPA 1033, and The Scientific Method will be discussed in an easy to understand format so that each attendee can readily apply them to real world losses when they return to their individual areas of responsibility.
