“What’s New” in Kirk’s Fire Investigation, 7th Edition & NFPA 1033 – An Introduction to the “Big Thirteen”

2012 Florida Chapter Annual Business Meeting will be held following the seminar – Chapter members are urged to attend!

Class will be divided into two segments. The morning session will provide an oversight of what is new to the 7th edition of Kirk’s Fire Investigation, including discussion on alternatives to the outdated “process of elimination”. The 7th edition follows the model curriculum of the Fire Emergency Service of Higher Education (FESHE). The afternoon session will present, discuss, and introduce the investigator to all of the “NFPA 1033 Thirteen” requirements for post-secondary education found in 1.3.8 (2009 ed.) For those attendees pursuing/renewing the recognized Certified Fire Investigator (CFI – IAAI) designation a test will be given at the end of the class.

This seminar is for anyone that conducts origin & cause fire investigations within their agency such as
Fire Investigators (public/private), Fire Inspectors & Company Officers
